For a problem like this there are no steps, all you do is type it into the calculator. I’m not kidding there is no formula for logarithm all you can is type it into the calculator.
log 0.06 = -1.2218
write 0.06 as 6 multiplied by 10^{-2}. Now you take the logarithm
log(xy}=log x + log y
log(6 x 10^(-2)) = log 6 + log 10^(-2)=0.778+(-2)=-1.2218
The answer is -1.2218 accurate up to four decimal points
sometimes a question like this says, given that (with log to base 10) log2 = 0.3010 and log3 = 0.4771 calculate the log of 0.06.
