What is the meaning of Ching Chang Walla? (aka Rock Paper Scissors)?
I grew up in East London, and everyone I know refers to Rock, Paper, Scissors as "Ching Chang Walla." Does anyone know the origin of this term or why it's called that? Just to clarify, I’m not referring to the song, but the game itself.

The phrase "Ching Chang Walla" is used in East London. Ching Chang Walla has NO racist intentions whatsoever (some call it Ching Chong Walla). It's what a 'hand game' was called years ago. It may even derive from when there used to be a large Chinese community there - they probably called it that themselves.
This is also true of the origins of this word, being derived from both the Yiddish and Romany languages. The original meaning of these three words, basically pays tribute to the Godly people of Cameroon.
