2008 BMW 328i oil leak, worth repair?
I own a 2008 BMW 328i that has been experiencing an oil leak for some time, but the source of the leak is unknown. I suspect there may be multiple holes in the gasket. I've heard from various sources that simply replacing the gasket might not be sufficient, as there could be underlying engine damage as well. Is it worth it to replace both the gasket and the engine? Are there additional repairs that might be necessary? Additionally, could you provide an estimated price range for replacing both components for this model and year? Thank you very much for your assistance!

Take the car to a mechanic and get an estimate. The car has many “gaskets” and we do not know which gasket you are talking about.
