What is the regulation for convalescent leave in the Army?

I am on convalescent leave for a recent surgery and currently staying at my mom’s house. I just got a call from my NCO requiring me to come into work for a monthly counseling statement and is upset she did not receive a copy of my appt list even though all of them occur while i am on con-leave. She has also stopped by my Mom’s house, unannounced, and claims she will visit again.What are the rules on con-leave and which regulation can I find it? Note: surgery was on my right knee and I cannot drive. So my mom would have to take me into work which I feel is an unnecessary inconvenience to her.

yes she can bother you and yes you can still be required to show up for things as long as you do not violate the doctor’s physical profile. so they can;t make you PT, but they can make you sign paperwork. in fact she could , if she wanted, require you to return to the barracks as nothing says you are allowed to go anywhere while on Convo leave. ESPECIALLY since you cannot drive. and yes she can require a copy of the list as they will make sure you keep your appointments.. missing them is considered to be UA/AWOLmaybe her stopping by is out of concern for her troops.. not being nosy.... Convalescent leave is not intended as free time to travel and see family that is what regular leave is for. Convalescent leave is to heal and get better so you are fit to for duty... Show More
