This bike is not meant for any thing but paved surfaces. The weight limit needs to stay under 180lbs, Now comes the big issue, bike quality, there is none. If this bike is or will be ridden off road here is what will happen, after a few hard drop offs or bottoming the rear suspension bolts will shear, in other works the rear suspension will have a major failure possibly causing injury. I would not recommend any more than 200lbs before the “suspension” in the rear reaches its maximum amount of travel. This is a bike that should NOT be used for any kind of real trail ridding as it is essentially a “toy” and NOT a real Mongoose bike. The components are essentially junk and priced as such. A rider weight of more than 200 lbs would also compress the fork to allow for little to NO travel and essentially the heavier the rider the more pointless this kind of bike would be for the rider. Although heavier riders may use this bike, it will NOT last for long as even the wheels will give out in short time. Dept store bikes are NOT for heavier riders and especially this one. Real Full suspension bikes are much better built with quality components that will last and will support heavier riders much more efficiently. The price range for a quality f/s bike will also start at $900 and greater, a far cry more than this Mongoose that costs less than $200…. and is overpriced at that. The headbadge on a real mongoose will have inverted “M’s” and the knockoffs will have a round headbadge with a mongoose in front of a mountain in an oval shape!... Show More

That bike is designed for a 130-170 lb person. You can’t expect much from a full suspension bike that is that cheap.
