I recently completed my tax return, but my information seems to be lost. After calling for assistance, I found out that my address was misspelled, and I was sent Form 3911 to fill out, which is a request for a change of address. Could you please let me know where I should send this form back to? This is for my federal tax return, and I live in Wisconsin. Thank you!

The instructions on the Form 3911 say to “…use the envelope provided, or mail it to the Internal Revenue Service center where you filed your tax return.”

3911 is not a change of address form.  It’s a lost refund tracer request.  Mail it to the service center that handled your tax return.

What stimulus check are you referring to? If you claimed the recovery rebate credit on this year’s return, but got it last year already, you weren’t entitled to get it again so will have to pay it back if it slipped through.
