The best description would be that they were regularly attacked by the arabs  eventually leading to the fall of the Byzantines and there empire and lead to the citys rename to istanbul which is still there in modern day middle east.

The correct answer is A. The empire was regularly attacked by Arab Muslims. Everyone wanted to conquer Constantinople and eventually break into Europe. Eventually they did because the constant wars weakend the empire and eventually the Turks managed to sack Constantinople and conquer the Byzantium empire effectivelly destroying it forever.
