ANS='C'
The terms metal and nonmetal are really descriptive of ways atoms react; metals lose electrons, nonmetal gain them. Another category of atom is a noble gas - atoms that already have the full valence shell that metals and nonmetal react to acquire. Noble gases do not readily react with other atoms. Zinc and chromium are metals, neon is a noble gas. Oxygen is the second most active nonmetal, fluorine is the most active.

Oxygen.
Zinc and chromium are metals. Neon is in group 0; it is a noble gas therefore it is unreactive as it has a stable arrangement of electrons.
C, of course. (Zinc, metal; Chromium, metal; Neon, gas, but nonreactive) What are you going to do when you have a test if you can't make logical deductions or go to Y!A?
