which is better xanax or clanapin?
I am currently prescribed Xanax, and my doctor has just given me a prescription for Klonopin. Can you provide insights on which medication might be more effective for my condition?

They are both benzodiazepines.
Xanax is one of the most abused drugs in the world.
Klonapin goes by 3 different names and is ugly to get off.
Take them only as necessary and not for a long time.
Xanax is faster acting and easier to get off.
Be careful.
Xanax works faster but Klonopin works longer. Xanax can give you a "high" feeling, Klonopin will not.. it just makes the anxiety go away. Xanax is more likely to be addicting but both of them have the potential for addiction. Xanax has a half life of only about 8 hours so it leaves your body pretty quickly but Klonopin has a half life of about 48 hours so it works for a very long time....... Which is better depends on which kind of anxiety you have..... for panic attacks, Xanax works faster and harder...... for generalized anxiety Klonopin works better because it works longer..........
