Options a, b and d are correct.Explanation: Since, If we talk about a solid cylinder of radius r and height h.( show in figure)Then, the area of base 1, And area of base 2, Since, Both bases have the same area, therefore, they are congruent.Moreover, every points of base 1 are equally far from every points of base 2.Therefore, base 1 is parallel  is parallel to base 2.And, in case of a solid cylinder, bases are always discs.Note: In case of hollow cylinder bases are not discs.

In mathematics, two geometric figures are "congruent" if they have the same sides and the same size; if there is an isometry that relates them: a transformation that can be of translation, rotation and / or reflection. It can also be said that both bases are parallel since all the points of both bases are at the same distance from each other.  They can also be defined as two disks since both have the same area as a disk A = pi * r ^ 2 and they also have the same mathematical equation as a disk. We have then that the answer is then: b. parallel  d. congruent a. discs   a. discs d. congruent b. parallel
