Only two on the choice is the answer, and it is O(3) and CO(3)^2-The polyatomic ions and molecules that cannot be adequately described using a single lewis structure is 0(3) and CO(3)^2-So, The answer in this question is C0(3)^2- and 0(3)

cannot be adequately described using a single Lewis structure.Further Explanation:The bonding between the different atoms in covalent molecules is shown by some diagrams known as the Lewis structures. These also show the presence of lone pairs in the molecule. These are also known as Lewis dot diagrams, electron dot diagrams, Lewis dot structures or Lewis dot formula. In covalent compounds, the geometry, polarity, and reactivity are predicted by these structures. When more than one Lewis structures are possible for a single molecule but no single structure is able to explain all the properties of the molecule then resonance is used. All the structures thus formed are called resonating structures and the phenomenon is known as resonance. The resonance structures have the same placement of atoms but different locations of bond pairs and lone pairs of electrons. Moreover, various resonating structures can be converted to each other by moving lone pairs to bonding positions, and vice-versa. Conditions to determine more contributing resonating structures are as follows:1. Smaller formal charges are always preferred over the larger one.  2. The point charges must be fewer for more contributing resonating structure.  3. A more negative formal charge must always be located on the most electronegative atom. There is no resonance in , , , . so these molecules can be easily explained by a single Lewis structure. Carbonate is represented by three resonating structure so it cannot be adequately described by a single Lewis structure. is represented by two resonating structures so it cannot be adequately described by a single Lewis structure.Learn more:1. , , , Explanation:In figure 1 we can several structures for in which the double bond can be moved across the oxygens due to the resonance. In figure 2 the double bond between the carbon and the oxygen in can be delocalized to the oxygen generating a new lewis structure in which we have a negative charge in the oxygen and a positive charge in the carbon. In figure 3 we have again a delocalization process upon the nitrogen in order to produce a negative charge in the nitrogen and a positive charge in the carbon generating a new lewis structure. In figure 4 due to the resonance, the double bond to the central oxygen can be moved from left to right generating 2 lewis structures. Finally in the two last molecules is not possible to move the electrons. For is not possible because there are no electrons to move. In the case of the movement of electrons would generate structures too unstable so it is not possible to generate more lewis structures.

The question is incomplete, the complete question is;Which of the molecules and polyatomic ions cannot be adequately described using a single Lewis structure?O3OF2CH2Cl2NH4+HCNCO3^2- O3, CO3^2-Explanation:The molecule, ozone (O3) and the carbonate ion ( CO3^2-) are both represented using canonical structures. A single Lewis structure does not sufficiently account for all the observed properties of these substances.Since one lewis structure is insufficient in explaining their properties, this molecule and polyatomic ion can only be described by a hybrid structure known as a resonance hybrid.

Answer;  CO3^2- and O3Explanation;Ozone, O3 is a molecule composed of three oxygen atoms joined together. Two oxygen atoms joined together form the basic oxygen molecule O2.A polyatomic ion is a charged particle which has two or more atoms held together by covalent (sharing of pairs of electrons) bonds.Carbonate (CO3^2-) is an example of polyatomic ion. It can not be adequately described using Lewis structure.
