Who buys the guy’s wedding ring?
I've been thinking about this late at night... If a couple plans to get married, I know it’s customary for the guy to buy the girl's wedding band, but what about the guy’s ring? Is he expected to buy his own, which seems a bit unfair, especially since the girl gets a beautiful (and expensive) ring that she could potentially sell at a pawn shop? Should the girl be the one to buy his wedding ring instead? I know these questions stray from traditional ideas of chivalry and gentlemanly conduct, but I would appreciate it if you could respond without those biases. Additionally, if you could share any personal experiences related to this topic, that would be great!

Anyone can pay for the rings. But usually the bride and groom go out and pick these items together and then the bride pays for the guy’s ring ?

Traditionally, it’s the bride or bride’s side of the family that pays for the groom’s ring. If you want to go with the modern route, it’s whomever.

You sound bitter, assuming the girl will hock her “expensive” diamond at anytime. The groom buys both the engagement and wedding rings. The bride her husbands wedding band. I have been married 31 years. This is how it was done back then.
Generally, the male buys the female her engagement ring.If it is a wedding set , I would imagine the woman would buy part of it but if its not a set where everything matches, the woman buys the mans’ band.
As you can see from the list below, the Bride pays for the Groom’s wedding band.
Bride Pays For:
Groom’s wedding ring
Groom’s wedding gift
Gifts for the bridal attendants
Bridal attire and accessories
Wedding consultant
Bridal luncheon
Groom Pays For:
Bride’s engagement and wedding ring
Bride’s wedding gift
Gifts for the groom’s attendants
Marriage license
Officiant’s fee
Groom’s attire
Boutonnieres for groom’s attendants
Honeymoon expenses
