Since when is FALAFEL Lebanese? Actually its originally Egyptian and it spread throughout the Arab world, then it spread into PALESTINE and we subsituted the fava beans the Egyptian used for chickpeas (which is the falafel people eat now) and then it spread north to Syria and Lebanon Hummus, Falafel, Tabouli, Shawarma, etc are all foods enjoyed by Levant Arabs and other Arabs as well and it doesnt matter in which region it started, its Middle Eastern food. European people shouldnt come and claim our food as theirs, period Oh and the BEST Falafel Sandwich is in Tulkarem in the West Bank, out of every Arabic country I have been to and every city in Palestine, they have the best Falafel and Shawarma... Just because falafel is a common Israeli food, it doesn’t mean Israel invented it. Falafel is Arabic food even the name itself originates from the Arabic word filfil meaning pepper, so I don’t know what those israelis are waffling about... Show More
