As for your original instructor, just because someone once did something great does not make them a brilliant teacher. I went on a show jumping course taken by a top UK show jumper and he was a terrible teacher, he hadn’t a clue how to put across what he wanted. I did learn a lot from the course because I did understand when he was trying to say and ended up ‘translating’ for others on the course. LOL Ask, no good instructor will be annoyed if you are polite and questioning rather than challenging. If she does object and will not give valid reasons for her trying to change your riding then don’t go to her gain.... Show More
