Willl Reese’s Pieces hurt my dog?
My dog weighs about 20 pounds, and I woke up this morning to find that he had eaten four pieces of miniature Reese’s Pieces. I recently lost a dog to cancer, and I am feeling very anxious right now. Could those four pieces be harmful to him?

there isn’t any chocolate in reese’s pieces. they are safe for your dog to eat. they are not good for them from a sugar content standpoint but they are not poisonous.
ingredients in reeses pieces:
Sugar , Partially Defatted Peanuts , Partially Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil , Palm Kernel Oil , Soybean Oil , Reduced Minerals Whey – Milk , Dextrose , Corn Syrup – 2% or Less , Artificial Color – 2% or Less , Blue 1 Lake – 2% or Less , Red 40 Lake – 2% or Less , Yellow 5 Lake – 2% or Less , Yellow 6 Lake – 2% or Less , Salt – 2% or Less , Soy Lecithin – 2% or Less , Cornstarch – 2% or Less , Resinous Glaze – 2% or Less , Modified Cornstarch – 2% or Less , Vanillin – Artificial Flavor – 2% or Less , Carnauba Wax – 2% or Less
There is a difference between Reese’s Pieces and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Since there is no chocolate in Reese’s Pieces, the only thing you have to worry about is the sugar content.

I give my dogs Reese Pieces when I’m eating them. most peanut butter .
It take a lot of milk chocolate to make a dog sick. baker and semi sweet chocolates ate the one you have to worry about .
if the dog isn’t use to getting stuff like that he might have a little upset tummy.
don’t make your dog vomit unless you take to vet first please We have had owners do this and the dog come in even more sick then if they would have been left alone.
There is not nearly enough chocolate in 4 reese’s pieces to hurt him. The most deadly chocolate to animals is found in bakers chocolate, not milk chocolate so you should be ok. Just keep an eye on him. ð
To clear things up, dark chocolate is the chocolate that is bad for dogs. So you could give them a Reese cup (milk chocolate) and only thing bad would be the sugar.
The chocolate that is good for us, is bad for them. (Dark)
Like any allergy it can only take a tiny piece of chocolate to make your dog sick, it can be a crumb or they can survive eating an entire easter egg ALL chocolate is bad for dogs!!
DO NOT give your dog hydrogen peroxide!!!!! Its the ingredient in hair dye that bleaches it blonde, imagine that inside your poor poor dog!
Probably not. But they may make him pretty sick. He may or may not throw up. He also might not be himself. Keep an eye on him and if anything changes at all be sure to bring him to the vet.
Luckily Reese’s Pieces are mostly peanut butter (something that is okay for dogs) but there is chocolate and lots of sugar which is not so good.
I am not sure if 4 pieces will hurt your dog, but any candy is bad for dogs.

Probably not, however if you are concerned you can force your pet to drink about 6 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide and he should vomit. Some dogs will and some won’;t you cna increase the amount given but don’t exceed a 3/4 a cup. This will get the chocolate and any toxins out.
But again that isn’t enough chocolate to do any damage.
