a very small amount of sodium iodide or potassium iodide is added to table salt to help reduce the chance of iodine deficiency in humans. how could you determine whether there is any of this chemical in the product sold as “iodized salt”

Add a drop or two of hydrogen peroxide to it and see if it turns yellow. You will make a very dilute solution of iodine in water that should be detectable by eye.... Show More
