My husband and I have an ongoing “discussion”. He says that insects are NOT animals and I say they are. I know they are not mammals and are in a different genus and family….but they are not plants or a mineral, so they must be an animal, right?

If you can see it without a microscope, it can move on it’s own, and your not at the bottom of the ocean then yes it’s an animal. Cluster bacteria can form big enough for humans to see, but the mass is still extremely tiny and can only form at the bottom of the ocean.
