The Turkish card game Amerikano is recognized as a variant of rummy worldwide.
Amerikano is played with a 106-card pack (comprising two packs of 52 cards and two Jokers). Each player is dealt 13 cards, and the objective is to deplete one's hand by forming sets and sequences before the other players, as is the case in all rummy-type games. The main goal is to accumulate the fewest points over the course of 13 rounds.
There are two features that make Amerikano unique and distinguish it from other rummy-type games:
Keys of Rounds: Each round requires players to construct predefined combinations as their first meld.
Picking the Top Card from the Discard Pile: A player may "steal" the card from the discard pile if all preceding players pass.
