It was in *Family Guy* season 8, episode 16: "April in Quahog". Peter attempts to bond with his children over some crystal meth.
When news hits that a black hole is consuming the solar system and the Earth will be destroyed in 24 hours, everyone in town goes out of their way to spend their last day on Earth. When Peter admits he hates being around the kids, the news anchors reveal that the whole situation was an April Fools' joke. In order to win back his children's love, Peter copped out and bought them an Xbox.
