do you get weekends off in college?
I'm considering enrolling in a local college and would like to know if students typically have weekends off. It's important for me to have at least one day free each week for band practice, and I would also like to attend church if possible. Thank you for your insights!

Classes usually meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday OR Tuesday and Thursday. You sign up for the classes you want to take.
In high school, you are in class about 30 hours a week. In college, you are in class about 16 hours a week and you cover twice as much material per semester as you do in high school.
You get to schedule your classes, studying, and free time. When doing so, keep in mind that most people who start college fail to finish.
You choose your own classes. Some colleges do offer weekend courses, but you only have to worry about them if you enroll.
Colleges are usually off on week ends. Ocassionally they may have a special class that meets on Saturdays, but if you don’t want to do that, just don’t sign up for that type class.

yeah for sure. go to your local community college and pick up a copy of their fall schedule which should begin after labor day. pick classes that will work with your schedule. keep in mind that you will also need to put time aside for homework and studying for tests like midterms and finals. if you plan wisely you can do school band practice and church. good luck
