Texas, Louisana, Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Delaware, the District of Columbia was until the civil war began.
