Forever by Chris Brown was featured in a 2009 episode of The Office, during which the characters Jim and Pam get married.
The song Forever was originally a 30-second jingle for Wrigley's Doublemint gum, which Brown was commissioned by an advertising company to write. The R&B star composed it in approximately half an hour and recorded both the jingle and the extended song in February 2008, during a recording session funded by the gum company.
The full song, which features the gum's tagline "Double your pleasure, double your fun" in the chorus, was subsequently released as a single and included on the expanded version of his album Exclusive; it was one of four new songs on the set.
Brown and his songwriting team, the Graffiti Artists, wrote the song. He recalled to MTV Base:
"We went into the studio, Polow gave me a beat, and I just started writing. His record has more of a European, techno, house-type feel. We wanted to give it that other side of crossover and venture a little into that pop realm. Hopefully, [I'll] be the Prince of Pop. I don't want to say I'm the King; I just hope to be the Prince of Pop."
In recent news, a judge has ordered R&B singer Chris Brown to stay away from his ex-girlfriend after she accused him of physically abusing and threatening her.
The Grammy winner was ordered to remain 100 yards away from Karrueche Tran and not to attempt to contact her after she stated in court filings that Brown had repeatedly threatened her since December. Read more at USA TODAY.
