Have you ever received fake student loan debt calls from scammers?
Every so often, I receive calls from random numbers claiming to be debt collectors. They mention my name, my Sallie Mae loans for college, and my address, pressuring me to make a payment immediately by offering cheaper options. I just received another call today, and the person on the phone used the same tactics. When I mentioned that I had just received a call from them and that I couldn’t make a payment because I am currently unemployed, she responded, “Okay, well let me tell you about other possibilities for you,” and then hung up. I found this interaction very unprofessional. While it definitely sounds like a scam based on their approach, it feels concerning that they have all this information readily available. Has anyone else experienced this situation?

No I’ve never got them because I don’t answer cells from unrecognized numbers. Yes, they’re all scams. Anyone who lies and tells you to pay right now is a total scam artist. They get your information from different sources and they pay for people’s personal info. The more frequently you answer those calls, the more you will get. Next time a call comes in from an unknown number, don’t answer.
