Hetalia World Series Episode 28 tissue reference ?
In Episode 28 of Hetalia World Series, there is a scene where America and Japan are in Japan, and they receive a free pack of tissues from a lady on the street. America is quite happy about it, but Japan seems hesitant and says, “Err, that’s…” without explaining what the tissues are for. I was wondering if anyone could clarify what this scene is referencing or what the tissues symbolize. I'm really curious about it!

America thought that they were just, yanno, regular tissues, right? But it was a pack of toilet paper, which, because Japan is so very.. prudeish, was pretty embarrassing to him. (A lot of Japanese airports do not provide toilet paper. I think it was an expenses thing, though I don’t quite remember for sure. So, some companies took to handing out packets of toilet paper — tissues — at airports as a form of advertising their brand.) So, Japan was slightly mortified because I had to explain to America that the tissues were basically for any bowel movements one has in the airport..

The world series has 2 seasons, season 3 and season 4. Season 4 (25 and up) hasn’t been dubbed in english by funimation yet. ? It sucks, I know. If you want to watch subs, though (which are still pretty freaking hilarious), you can watch them on funimation’s youtube account.
