How can I let go of the past?
I would like to seek advice on how to let go of my past experiences in the military, which were quite distressing and have left me feeling depressed. Every time I reflect on that time, it brings me down, and I find it challenging to move forward. I genuinely want to focus on enjoying life today and engaging in activities that can help alleviate my depression and reduce stress. If anyone has effective strategies or suggestions for how I can work towards forgetting these painful memories and embracing a more positive outlook, I would greatly appreciate your insights.

Anyway, since the military didn’t work out, I think the best way to move on is to move forward.

Are you in school, or are you working?
Well, you can do things to distract yourself but you’ll never be able to truly forget. You mention getting depressed from it, so maybe you could get medication if it’s bad. It helps to talk about how you feel with other people who can relate to how you feel as well. Having hobbies help and doing physical activities. Spending time with friends, family, and people who you know care about you can help make things better. I hope you try to have a nice day though. ?
