Well, if you divide the 9.38 kJ by the 2.60 kJ/mol you will find out how many moles of the substance were involved. 9.38 / 2.60 = 3.61 moles Remeber the little formula n = m / M? Well you now have a mass (m) and the moles (n) , solve for M M = m / n 48.7 g / 3.61 moles = 13.5 g/mol
