He learned how to play the guitar for that movie. However, according to Chase Ellison himself, the production team had someone who sounded a bit better play over him. The name of that person has not been published, though.
Chase Ellison joined the cast of Fox's family comedy "Tooth Fairy," starring Dwayne Johnson, Ashley Judd, and Julie Andrews.
He played the bright and gifted Randy, the son of Judd's character, who formed a friendship with his mom's boyfriend Derek (Johnson), whose nickname is "The Tooth Fairy."
However, that bond changed when Derek discouraged Randy and was sentenced to act as a real tooth fairy, complete with a tutu and wings.
