Its the Pythagorean Theorem. It applies to right angle triangles. It states that a^2 + b^2 = c^2Where a and b represent the lengths of legs of the triangle and c is the Hypotenuse.The Hypotenuse is the side that is opposite the right angle (also the longest side).
