It would be impossible to name a child Nicholas, as we did, and find that no-one else had that name. I think that it is a lovely name and distinguished for the child. It is not capable of being twisted into anything else. It is a name to be comfortabe with, If your mother wishes to have a unique name for the baby, then I suggest that she makes one up. hi there, i wouldn't spell it unique, just spell it the normal ways either nicholas or nicolas or if you want to get a little crazy nikolas.....i wouldn't make it any crazier than that, other kids can be cruel, try to talk your mom out of it........it is much classier to spell it the normal way you dont want to look like you dont know how to spell or make the child like ridiculous when other nicholas's are in the class and he is the only one with it spelled "wrong" and all mixed up...
