Tracy Morgan didn’t gain weight for a specific publicized purpose, so it was most likely due to lifestyle choices at the time. He had been diagnosed with diabetes back in 1996 but never took it seriously. It wasn’t until he ran a 104°F fever on the set of 30 Rock that he decided to comply with a doctor-recommended diet.
In 2010, he even began NutriSystem for weight loss. Morgan’s health problems continued, and he had a kidney transplant in December 2010.
In January 2012, he collapsed at the Sundance Film Festival, and his publicist stated it was due to exhaustion and altitude sickness.

He is an actor and producer, known for 30 Rock (2006), Cop Out (2010), and Saturday Night Live (1975). He has been married to Megan Wollover since August 23, 2015. They have one child.
