I’m an australian citizen living in US,i came here since 3 months with an F2 visa, i got a job offer but the employer refused to give me a sponsorship he asked me to privide my work visa by myself, i want to know what kind if visa should i Apply for???is it I-765 form to have a work permit???or its not possible to adjust such kind if visa???and if thats true, what is the best for me to go back home and apply with a new work visa or to Apply for an E3 visa ( specially for australian) to be able to work in USA???

You need an employer who is sponsoring you for a work visa. You can’t work on an F2 visa.You need an employer willing to sponsor you for a E3 visa. You don’t need to leave the US in order to work, but the first time you leave you will need to get the new visa entered into your passport before coming back.

F2 is dependent of a foreign student (F1), and you are strictly prohibited from working – or even looking for work.If you qualify for E3, go home, apply, and if accepted, then you get a new visa. But on a dependent visa, forget it.

you can try to file the I-765 form, but I’m afraid it won’t be approved on an F2 visa. on the other hand, depending on the type of work he might be able to sponsor you himself, if he’s willing to do the paperwork and wait a bit. doesn’t sound much like he wants to do that though, but you have to have a sponsor for an employment based visa.
