Identify the limiting reagent and the volume..?
Identify the limiting reagent and the volume of CO2 produced when 11 L of CS2 reacts with 18 L of O2 to yield CO2 gas and SO2 gas at standard temperature and pressure (STP). The reaction is represented as follows:
CS2 (g) + 3O2 → CO2 (g) + 2SO2 (g)
Which of the following options is correct? a. O2; 6.0 L CO2 b. CS2; 5.5 L CO2 c. O2; 27 L CO2 d. CS2; 11 L CO2

Limiting reagent is O2 because you do not have enough amount of oxygen to react with CS2.
18 L O2 * (1 mol O2 / 22.4 L O2) * (1 mol CO2 / 3 mol O2) * (22.4 L CO2 / 1 mol CO2) = 6.0 L CO2
Answer: A
