The correct answer would be deletion mutation.Deletion is a type of mutation in which sequence of DNA or a part of a chromosome is deleted during replication of DNA.A number of nucleotides deleted may vary from a single nucleotide to the entire length of the gene.  TTCACG should have been transcribed as AAGTGC instead of AAGGC.The adenine present at the fourth position in parent DNA TTCACG is not replicated into the daughter strand. It results in the deletion of thymine nucleotide from the daughter strand.

Deletion. If the DNA sequence is TTCACG, it is expected to be transcribed into AAGUGC.But, it was transcribed into AAGGC. If we count nucleobases, a transcribed sequence has 5 nucleobases, while DNA sequence has 6 nucleobases. These means that deletion happened. If insertion occurred, there will be 7 nucleobases in transcribed sequence. In substitution or translocation, the transcribed sequence will be the same size, but with different sequence than the DNA sequence. make this the brainliest please

InsertionGenetic stability maintenance  requires an extremely accurate mechanism for DNA replication and mechanisms for fixing the several accidental lesions that occur continually in DNA.  Spontaneous changes in DNA are temporary due to immediate correction process called DNA repair. DNA repair’s importance is very evident from the huge investment that cells form in DNA repair enzymes. In 1000 accidental base changes in DNA , fewer than one results in a permanent mutation due to the efficient elimination by the DNA repair.

It's a combination of deletion and insertion mutation. From TTCACG to AAGGCTTC was deleted from the DNA sequence.AG is added or inserted in the DNA sequence.Other types of mutation aside from Deletion and Insertion are Substitution and Frame Shift.

Notice here that the original strand has 6 bases, but the new one only has 5. Therefore, it has to be a deletion. Precisely, the A in the first sequence was deleted, and you can tell, because there should be a U in the fourth spot.

The answer is d.
The mutation is a Deletion. The A in the ACG sequence is deleted
