If the unathletic male with big belly loses weight due to stretching and exercises, will he be able to practice parkour and martial arts?
If a 26-year-old unathletic male (turning 27 in June) with a big belly loses weight through stretching, yoga, and exercise, will he be able to learn and practice parkour and martial arts? He is between 5'7" and 5'8" tall and aims to increase his height to 5'11" or 6'0". Is it possible for him to achieve this, and how?

Work on your knowledge of basic biology.
You can lose weight, you may even learn and be good at parkour and martial arts but you sure as heck not going to grow and extra 4-5″ at 27
There’s no law that says you can’t lose weight while you are practicing parkour or studying a martial art.
But stretching, yoga, and exercises will not help you lose body fat if you are not also watching what you eat. No amount of physical activities by themselves can get you a lean ab (flat belly) because lean abs are made in the kitchen and not in the gym.
The bottomline is this: the only time your body is losing or burn body fat is when you consume less calories than you burn off at the end of the day creating what is call a “caloric deficit”. This is because when you go to sleep at night, any excess unburn calories are convert to body fat. If you burn more than you consume, this forces your body to convert body fat to fuel and this is the basic mechanism of fat gain and loss.
You use exercise to enhance your diet. You need to read up on a few things. Start first with “Basal Metabolic Rate” or BMR. You need to understand what that is before you can devise a weight loss program. You also need to understand how to eat in such a way that you get the most essential nutrients for the least amount of calories. Finally, you need to understand that whether it is parkour or martial arts, you need to be fit and cultivate a healthy lifestyle – this means both proper exercise and good healthy eating habits.

He can practice whatever martial arts he likes, regardless of how much or how little weight he loses, but he will not increase his height after age 26. There is no way to do that. You’ll always be between 5’7 and 5’8″ until you’re quite old, and then you’ll get slightly shorter.
