Prolific dissertation is a term we use for doctoral/PhD dissertations. A doctoral research is supposed to create new knowledge of the studied subject, go beyond the known parameters of the studied research problem. This is also why we commonly say doctoral dissertations contribute to current theory on the subject.The word prolific refers to that which creates, usually referring to plants giving abundant fruit. A doctoral dissertation is supposed to create new knowledge. Hence the term.It s funny how I learned this answer. I assume that "Qhat" means "What"…A prolific dissertation is a well inspired detailed technical report on a research project of interest.Those seeking their PhD must write a very detailed and complete dissertation and it must be prolific!🙂... Show More
