take a nap with contacts?
At 4:00 PM, I fell asleep on my bed and woke up about ten times because I remembered I was wearing contacts. When I finally woke up, everything seemed normal. Is it bad to take naps while wearing contact lenses? I understand that sleeping with them on overnight can be harmful, but what about taking short naps?

It totally depends upon what contact lenses you have. You are correct in that wearing contacts to bed is bad (unless you have extended wear). If you do nap (please try not to since you don’t know if you should thought), put a drop of solution in both eyes and wait 10 minutes before taking them out (if you want to take them out then). This will allow the lenses to move again and not take off a layer of your cornea.

I accidentally take naps with my contacts on all the time. I don’t think it’s bad really. After I wake up, my eyes are usually dry though, then it goes back to normal after a few minutes. If not, I just take them off and wear my glasses. You can use eye drops too, but give your eyes a break once in a while.

Yes, cos oxygen flow to the eyes will be greatly reduced. eyes will be red and dry. Do get those silicone range of contacts that allows u to nap or even sleep in it. It is really good. Had tried it before. Like magix

I agree with umdbhik on this…your eyes are still getting adjusted to contacts, so napping with your lenses on is not a good idea.
I think it depends on what kind of contacts you wear. Last night I slept in mine and in the morning they seem to kind of be a little more blurry, but they soon clear up. As long as you make sure to clean them often and really make sure to do a good I think you’ll be fine.

i do it all the time, but it’s not good. It dries up your lens and builds up proteins, and there’s a chance that your contacts will slide to the back of your eye which happened to me once and trust me, it’s not pretty.
don’t be lazy just take em’ off….you’re hurting your eyes when the contact dries up…it’ll make your sight worst
maybe you should just spend $3000~4000 on lasik
