What does "previous type:A" on a driver's license mean?

What does "previous type:A" on a driver's license mean? I recently noticed this notation on my new license and am unsure of its significance. Could someone explain what it indicates and if it has any impact on my driving privileges? Thanks in advance for your help.

Colorado driver licenses are issued in various classes according to the age group and the type of vehicle for which the applicant qualifies.

Class A, B, and C (Commercial Driver License - CDL)

A driver must have a Commercial Driver License to operate the following types of vehicles:

Any motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) or combination vehicle weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 pounds or more.

Any vehicle that transports quantities of hazardous materials that require warning placards under the Department of Transportation regulations.

Any vehicle that is designed to transport 16 or more passengers, including the driver.

The GVWR or GCWR of the vehicle(s) is not the actual weight of the vehicle(s), but the weight rating assigned by the manufacturer.

All classes of licenses are valid for chauffeur purposes.

Chauffeur is defined as: “Every person who is employed for the principal purpose of operating a motor vehicle and every person who drives a motor vehicle while in use as a public or common carrier of persons or property.”

At a minimum, a valid, basic Class R license is required for the operation of low-power scooters (engine size of 50cc or less or 4476 watts or less, if electric, with a maximum speed of 40 MPH) and low-speed electric vehicles.

Class R (Basic License): Any motor vehicle that is not considered a motorcycle or commercial vehicle as described below.

The Colorado DMV has begun issuing driver licenses, instruction permits, and identification cards with new designs starting in 2016. The card design includes an entirely new format and enhanced features, such as laser-engraved information in grayscale and new card material.

Valid driver licenses, instruction permits, and identification cards with the current design can be used until their expiration date.
