If it is a riddle, the answer could be "pointless." However, in real life, it would simply be a stick.

Consider some arrow riddles below:

A man can carry 20 arrows. 5 arrows to kill a bear, 3 for a wolf, and 1 to kill a deer. If I send you to the forest and you see a bear and a wolf fighting over a deer, which animal can you kill? Answer: NONE! You were given NO ARROWS!

I have many feathers to help me fly. I have a body and head, but I am not alive. It is your strength that determines how far I go. You can hold me in your hand, but I am never thrown. What am I? Answer: An arrow.

Gods' arrows cannot be counted. Answer: Rain.

I am a killing machine used again and again; I bend a little, but far less than my friend; For many years I was number one. But I have been replaced by my modern son. What am I? Answer: An arrow.

You are hiking in remote woods when you accidentally stumble upon a primitive tribe. You are captured and tied to a stake. The head tribesman says to you, "I will let you choose how you die. Make a statement, and if it is true, you will die by arrow. If it is false, you will die by fire." Assuming the tribesman will know the truthfulness of anything you say, what statement can you make that will keep you alive?

Answer: Say, "I will die by fire."

If the tribesman says this is true, he would kill you by arrow, making it untrue.

If he says it is false, he would kill you by fire, making it true.

He is then forced to let you go.
