The US Government really does not want us to believe all the Bible. DO you agree?
I am an ordained minister who believes in every word of the Bible. In Colossians 2:8, it states, “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” Now, regarding the issue of medical marijuana: in Genesis 1:11-12, and especially 1:31, it is noted that everything God made was very good. What right does man have to label His creation as very bad? The answer is none whatsoever.
Furthermore, doesn’t the Bible say, “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God”? Yes, but this is only applicable if it coincides with God’s word and will. Consider Miriam and the midwives who put Moses in the basket; they acted against Pharaoh’s governing authority, and the Bible states that God blessed them, as it was not His will to murder.
Or take the example of Daniel, who refused to bow down to an edict from the governing authority. The Apostle Paul, a Jew, was instructed by the Jewish council not to preach in Jesus's name, yet he chose to do so—indicating that God's word supersedes man's word.
As for myself, I am a user of medical marijuana and possess a state-issued ID along with access to a local dispensary. I suffer from 12 medical issues that have developed over the past few years, and I have found that God’s creation helps alleviate my pain. Forbidding its use goes against my First Amendment rights, as there is no jurisdiction over religion; yet, they have imposed restrictions. Do you agree?

No, i dont agree the Government actually advocates for families to be religious , just to respect the diversity of religions and beliefs.
Aside from an antiquated reason making pot illegal , they have come to their sinces and allowed pots use in medicene.
It was used in the Bible and its no less a medication than others that are derived from plants.
Wishing you well.

No, I don’t agree and I don’t agree with the legalization of marijuana.
No, I don’t agree, particularly with your attempt to connect your medical use of marijuana to some imagined “First Amendment rights.” Unless you are practicing a religion which uses it ceremonially–not medically–that claim doesn’t make sense.
I do, however, concur that the laws prohibiting marijuana use are foolish and damaging, and they ought to be changed. And I’m especially concerned about medical needs–as well as the potential economic benefits from the free market.
I just think citing the First Amendment in this connection is neither useful nor effective.

” Everything He made was very good” Try chowing down some oleander leaves.
Idiot.
I don’t share your beliefs. Human beings write books. Human beings have egos. The ego makes a human being put his/her want first or of most importance. I believe there is a spirit, energy or something. But these books be it the Qu’ran, Bible, Torah are written by man and therefore full of BS. There is no hell other than living in fear rather than open hearted love.

I don’t think the United States government cares one way or another. They are too busy making a mess of the country to care what we believe as long as they believe they cannot be fired or will be re-elected.
Just because you’re a minister doesn’t mean we want to hear a sermon. Complete separation of (any) church and state sounds like a win win for all of us.
