Unit test review active the endosymbiotic theory states that chloroplasts and mitochondria evolved as a result of o o o o a prokaryotic

Could you clarify the endosymbiotic theory for me? Specifically, how does it explain the evolution of chloroplasts and mitochondria from prokaryotic organisms? I studied this concept in Spanish, so I hope my question makes sense. Thank you!

...As a result of a symbiosis between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. The theory is that the mitochondria and the chloroplasts were prokaryotic cells inside the eukaryotic cells which is called endosymbiosis. There is evidence for this because plastids and mitochondria have double membranes like prokaryotic cells and they also have their own genetic material.Hope that helps and is in decent english as I studied it in spanish

a prokaryotic cell engulfing a bacterial cell.
The correct answer is A.According to the endosymbiotic theory, it is stated that chloroplasts and mitochondria evolved as a result of a prokaryotic cell engulfing a bacteria cell. Further ExplanationThe endosymbiotic theory postulates that the evolution of chloroplasts and mitochondria could be traced to the prokaryotes cohabitating with other prokaryotes. The endosymbiotic theory can be traced to former Boston University Biology, Dr Lynn Margulis who firstly proposed the theory in the 1960s, and was officially outlined in a book she published in 1981 called “Symbiosis in Cell Evolution.” Dr Lynn Margulis proposed that the similarities between prokaryotes and organelles, alongside their appearance in the fossil record, could be described as “endosymbiosis.” She further proposed that the best explanation for the evolution of the eukaryotic cell is “endosymbiosis.”Dr Margulis’s hypothesis was explained as:Chloroplasts are the result of endocytosis of photosynthesis bacteriaMitochondria are the result of endocytosis of aerobic bacteriaAnaerobic bacteria would not be able to exist in an aerobic community in both casesThis arrangement turn out to be a mutually beneficial relationship for both cells (symbiotic)Chloroplasts and mitochondria are two important organelles found in a cell. Organelles like chloroplasts are found in the cell of the broccoli, alongside other plants and algae. Chloroplasts are known to capture light energy and further transfer it as molecules of fuels to the plant’s tissues. Mitochondria are majorly found in plants cells and also in human cells, and they usually convert stored energy in the molecules from broccoli into a particular cell they can use.LEARN MORE:Endosymbiotic theory chloroplasts and mitochondria endosymbiotic theory KEYWORDS:endosymbiotic cellbacterial cell

A Eukaryotic cell engulfing a bacterial cell. You may want to know that the bacteria which used to photosynthesise , after they have been engulfed by an eukaryotic cell , they evolved into Chloroplasts .However for the bacteria which used to respire , they have evolved into mitochondria. Hope this helps ? Good Luck !

According to the endosymbiotic theory, the cellular organelles were prokaryotic cells. The Prokaryotic cells were englulfed by a different bigger prokaryotic cell. So, the correct answer is A. The engulfed cell was not completely digested, and the two cells started to mutually benefit each other, resulting into the formation of eukaryotes.
It actually might be "B"  a eukaryotic cell flood a batery cell.
