What do the oxymoron and paradox in this excerpt illustrate about love?

What do the oxymoron and paradox in this excerpt illustrate about love? Please read the excerpt from Act II, Scene V of "Romeo and Juliet":

Friar Laurence: "These violent delights have violent ends, and in their triumph die, like fire and powder, which, as they kiss, consume. The sweetest honey is loathsome in his own deliciousness and in the taste confounds the appetite. Therefore, love moderately; long love doth so; too swift arrives as tardy as too slow."

In this passage, Friar Laurence suggests that love, while passionate, can also lead to destructive outcomes. He emphasizes the importance of moderation in love, indicating that excessive passion can be as detrimental as a lack of it. What insights can we draw from these literary devices regarding the nature of love? Does the idea that "only love has the ability to overcome obstacles" align with the notion that "nothing good ever comes from truly loving another"? How does the concept of loving with restraint contribute to the idea of long-lasting love, and what implications does it have for our understanding of true love and reason?

"the sweetest honey is loathsome in its deliciousness""loving with restraint is the key true love ... Lose the ability to reason"these illustrate that as wonderful as love is and feels, it makes you vulnerable to pain like nothing else. we want to hold back so that it lasts and stays 'good' and we aren't hurt. but when we truly love we can't hold back and overthink or we'll lose the person. because love makes you want to be vulnerable to that person, even if they can hurt you, the same way you can hurt them. good luck
