Is the math riddle in the movie The Happening true?

Well he sais a riddle that is "If I paid you a penny on the first day, 2 pennies the second day, 4 pennies the third, double it everyday and by the end of the month how much would you have?"and ive jus been wondering what the real answer was!? :))
