there is no episode 26........25 was the last one
i'm sure you have plenty of questions, but we all did.......the series really does end that way, in a cliffhanger........now depending on your taste, that could be considered brilliant, or heartbreaking..........but the manga is still being continued to this day
i do commend you for having good taste in anime.......as you can tell from the horde of responses you got,(or lack thereof) that many people don't know about it.........well, people on yahoo answers anyway...
it truly is a brilliant anime, and i hope you enjoyed it as much as i did

The anime series ends on 25 but this is not the end if you notice when you watch the series episode 1 is actually the first episode after episode 25; let me explain.... After Guts escapes from hell he is on a Quest for revenge and he is after Griffith.  Episode 1 shows the Guts without an eye and his arm has a new attached weapon to it.  After episode 1 you only watch the whole flashback story of how Guts got to that point... maybe one day they will continue the anime series; if you are curious about what happens next read the manga.

No need to worry my friends, there is a season 2 that is now out. And they have announced that this spring there will be the second arc to season 2. It's all 3D rendered, it's really innovative. Plus guys is just an utter badass, who doesn't want to see him lopping people in half!

i just finished watching it om so pissed confused and i want to strangle the creator of the anime for the ending it like that no but seriously i wish there was a second season to this or at vary least a proper ending mabe ill continue it i would love to but i wouldn t do this beautiful masterpiece justice
