You're very likely able to lift the weight or shift it from the counter to the shopping cart. Or may need to be able to move that much weight around to stock the shelves, or set the displays. You can probably do it, I can and I am a short old woman. At a store they will only have you rarely lift anything more than a box of dresses and if too heavy you can ask for help. Go to the store like Walmart and look for a bag of dog food that weighs 50's and try to lift it from a place knee high not the floor. We buy bags of grain that size and I can lift them but wouldn't want to all day everyday.... Show More

50 lbs isn't especially heavy. You've probably lifted more doing your shopping or laundry.Try it a few times before the interview to see if you can comfortably lift something of that weight. Make sure you use correct manual handling and lifting techniques.... Show More
