A). AlliterationO suns - O grass of graves - O perpetual transfers and promotionsB).  AssonanceNo doubt I have died myself ten thousand times before C). RhymeHous-es and rooms are full of per-fumesD). ParallelismI ascend from the moon, I ascend from the nightExplanation: Whitman employs a number of literary devices in 'Song of Myself' to beautifully portray his idea of 'celebrating the democracy and individualism', and 'unity of humankind.' As per the question, the given poetic devices have been correctly matched with the excerpt from poem as mentioned above.Alliteration is the poetic device that involves the repetition of consonant sounds('g' and 'p' in the given line) at the beginning of two or more words('grass and graves', 'perpetual and promotions') immediately succeeding each other or at short intervals. Assonance is a literary device that includes 'repetition of similar or identical vowel sounds' but starting with distinct consonant sounds. It assists in developing a rhythm and flowy effect in the poem. The excerpt 'no...before' involves repetition of the same vowel sound 'o' in 'No', 'doubt', 'thousand', 'before.'Rhyme refers to the repetition of alike sounds customarily at the end of a line in a poem. The words 'room' and 'fume' give a similar rhyming sound. Parallelism involves repetition of alike words or phrases('I ascend' in the given line) in order to create a rhythm, attract the readers' attention, and make it memorable for them.

Hi! Even though you didn't mark on bold the words in each excerpt, I think I could realize which are those words. If my assumptions are correct, then this would be the 1. C: to combine or integrate.2. A: to be revealed.3. B: to mark with spots.Explanation:1. The first I grafted and increase upon myself, the latter I translate into new tongue. In this sentence, to graft means to put together, to mix.2. It may be you transpire from the brests of young men,In this sentence, to transpire means to happen, to take place.3. Earth of shine and dark mottling the tide of the riverIn this sentence, to mottle means to mark with spots, to smears of colour.
Walt Whitman, the author of Leaves of Grass created a unique and new American poetic voice. Another Author who shared his poetic structure was Emily Dickinson. Walt Whitman was born on May 31st 1819 in West Hills, New York, the second son of Walter Whitman, a housebuilder, and Louisa Van Velsor. He and his eight brothers lived in Brooklyn and Long Island in the 1820s and 1830s. The first job that Whitman had was as a printer in New York City. In 1836, at the age of seventeen, he began his career as teacher in Long Island. He continued to teach until 1841.The poem "Song of Myself" is written in Whitman's signature free verse style. Whitman, who prefers words "as simple as grass" sacrifices standard verse and stanza patterns in favor of a simple, legible style that can appeal to a mass audienceAlliteration is the conspicuous repetition of identical initial consonant sounds in successive or closely associated syllables within a group of words, even those spelled differently.Assonance is a resemblance in the sounds of words or syllables either between their vowels or their consonants.rhyme is a repetition of similar sounds in the final stressed syllables.Parallelism is when there is grammar equilibrium in two or more sentences.Having stated the former, now the answers:AlliterationO suns - O grass of graves - O perpetual transfers and promotionsAssonanceNo doubt I have died myself ten thousand times beforeRhymeHous-es and rooms are full of per-fumes ParallelismI ascend from the moon, I ascend from the night

The literary work of Walt Whitman's "Song of Myself" uses a poetic device -- Extended Metaphor. One of the primary symbols in the poem is the extended metaphor of a journey. He uses the idea of a journey because the poem took 30 years before it reached its final form. The speaker shares his soul's journey on the earth.
