My Vizio Tv won’t turn on. How do I fix it?
I am having trouble with my Vizio TV, as it won’t turn on. I have already tried several troubleshooting steps, including unplugging the TV for a few seconds, holding the power button on both the remote and the TV, and resetting the power strip it’s connected to. Despite these efforts, the “Vizio” light on the front of the TV does not even turn orange. I would appreciate any assistance in getting my TV to power on. Thank you!

Do you have any power or sound anything? If not and resetting doesnt help then its internal,99% of the time its a board issue depending on exact model the power suplies and main boards are a common issue especially with Vizio.Do you have a warranty? On here without someone looking your going to get opinions and best guesses,I have fixed alot of electronics and there are common problems with most things however without proper testing its just ideas.I would have said reset everything and check the power even a blown circuit breaker if there is zero power.Bottom line if you have power going in to TV and it doesn’t come on its internal.
I have an 8-yr old Visio Vo47L. The screen went blank and sound died at the same time. The on/off light at bottom of screen panel still turns off and on and I can hear the unit turn off and on, but no picture, no sound. I’ve unplugged and replugged it into the wall socket for 30 seconds, several times and pushed buttons on remote as well as manual buttons on the unit itself and still nothing. The sound did come back a couple of times for about a minute and when I went to change channels using the remote, the sound stopped. It had a beautiful picture and sound was great right up until it stopped. No signs on screen such as dimming, lines, dark spots that it might be dying. Does anyone know what might be the matter and if so, is it even worth fixing.
Like already said power in -no picture=internal failure, also online there are alot of vizio complaints no power and dead tvs etc.Vizio isa costco partner dealer exculives so if you got it there you have a double warranty after vizio runs out.Vizio makes some models just for costco.Otherwise time to call a repair service.
my vizio won’t turn on at all…it started a couple of weeks ago, and I would have to keep hitting the on button, finally after an hour or so or sometimes less it would catch and turn on., last night it would catch and shut itself off, within seconds of connecting, now tonight I have been turning the on button for over 2 hours and nothing is catching…I guess its dead for sure now, I guess I have no choice but to sit here without any tv till til I can go to best buy tomorrow and buy another tv…any suggestions on a brand that is good, but not expensive, this could not have happened at a worse financial time for me !!!!!!!! Grrrrrrrrr,,,,,
My vizio light comes on but will not turn on? Anyone know why? For some reason it went off when I turned on my dvd surround sound and now it will not come back on….This happened before and the cable company came out and said I needed my tv looked at cuz the HDMI in the tv is not working….I asked him if my HDMI cord was bad and he said no that it was my tv so I went out and bought another HDMI cord to see if that was the problem and yes it fixed the picture and lines that were going thru it….Now I was watching tv and my sound kept going off so I turned on the surround dvd player and right when I did that the tv shut off and never came back on…I seriously think it has something to do with the dvd surround but not sure…I totally disconnected the dvd from the tv but it still will not come on thru the tv remote, cable remote or the back button on the tv…Anyone have any answers or insight?
The V comes on, then goes black. Unplugged everything for at least 30 seconds and tried again. Nothing. Unplugged everything again, held ON button on for 30 seconds then plugged in. Nothing. Then tried again and hit NETFLIX button at same time. Netflix worked! Tried hitting BACK button which would normally set it to the TV. Nothing! SO guessing the TV itself works , maybe my cable company? Will call them next.
mine works fine once on but wont turn on with remote or manually. I have to keep unplugging and replug it and then wait until the light goes out. sometimes I do this 10 or more times then comes on . wouldn’t recomemd this tv to anyone with this problem but great picture haha

I’ve tried, unplugging it for a few seconds, holding the power button on the remote and the TV, resetting the power strip that it’s plugged into, and nothing works. The “vizio” light on the front of the TV isn’t even Orange. Please help me get this TV turned on!

This just happened to me and I tried everything now what worked for me was when I unplugged the cord from the wall pushed the power button on the back of the t.v and then plugged it back in that still didn t work but then I pressed the power button on the remote for a little while in front o the t.v
