The Hebrew word Sheol means grave. The original meaning of hell was the grave also. These meanings were changed to mean the fiery pit of eternal torment by priests during the middle ages in an attempt frighten people into obedience. This view comes directly from Dante’s Inferno and continues today in many churches.

“Grave condition” means that a person whose body has changed from being healthy to going down to the worst possible state. Plus the medical team does not have much hope for getting well again. There is always HOPE no matter what the medical people or anyone else says. Miracles happen! Sometimes there is a different ending.

It means the odds are against survival, near death. And…it was reported recently by an American doctor that Fidel does not have cancer afterall. He is elderly and recuperating for abdominal surgery… he is not a young man and it is quite a set back for him at 80..
