What does ‘I wouldn’t ᴘιss on you if you were on fire’ mean?

What does the phrase "I wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire" mean? I understand that it's an insult, but I’m struggling to grasp its full implications. Could someone explain it in more detail?

It means that you feel nothing for the person and although you may not go to the point of causing them harm. You would not do anything to help if they was harmed.

Pissing on someone is usually a way a degrading act done to someone that you feel disgust for but in certain situations it may be an act of kindness trying to help someone.

Such as?

  1. Neutralizing Jellyfish Stings

  2. Putting out someone on fire (but is usually a last resort).

Essentially one lets them burn, as they could have helped, but with holding their ᴘᴇᴇ and watching someone writhe in the pain caused by the flames.

Well, if someone is on fire and you " ᴘιss" on them, that puts the fire out. If you need a ᴘιss anyway, ᴘιssing on someone is not such a big sacrifice (in fact, it's worse for the person who gets ᴘιss on!), certainly when compared to having to go get a hosepipe or a bucket of sand so it's like saying "you are worth so little to me that I couldn't even be bothered to do the smallest thing for you if it would save your life". I hope someone hasn't just said that to you!

It means you think so little of that person that if they were in fire you wouldn't allow it to be put out even if you could ᴘιss on them

it means they hate you sooo much that if you were literally on fire, they wouldn't even try to save you by ᴘᴇᴇing on you. in other words, they wouldn't even want to waste their ᴘιss on you.

Simple: it simply means they hate you so much they wouldn't even do something as degrading as ᴘᴇᴇing on you, because in the end it would help you out of your situation. They'd rather see you die.
