0.9 miles is how many street blocks?
I'm moving to Dallas and would like to know how many street blocks are in 0.9 miles. Can anyone provide some insight or a rough estimate? Thank you!

Street blocks do not have a standard distance. The most common size of a U.S. city block is 660 feet, or one furlong.
9/10 of a mile would equal about 7 city blocks. The best way to determine the distance is to wear a pedometer and find out for yourself.
It differs from city to city. Here in Toledo, it’s one mile equals about ten city blocks. When I was out in Fresno, I think each block was half a mile. I’m sure that in Dallas, and in Texas for that matter, where there is good urban sprawl, that the blocks will be larger than in Eastern US cities.
But usually, I have seen one block equals one tenth of a mile, or about 528 feet.
