The movements of energy and nutrients through living systems differ significantly. Why is this the case? Specifically, how does energy flow in one direction, while the cycling of nutrients occurs in multiple directions? Please provide a detailed answer, considering the implications of these processes on ecological balance and system sustainability.

1. Answer; A. energy flows in one direction and nutrients recycle.Explanation;-The movements of energy and nutrients through living systems are different because the energy flows in one direction and nutrients recycle. -Energy is transferred between organisms in one direction in a food chain, but that interconnected food chains make a food web.-Most ecosystems get their energy from the Sun. Producers can use sunlight to make usable energy by converting it into chemical energy or food. Consumers get some of that energy when they eat producers, they pass some of the energy to other consumers when they are fed on. 2. Answer; Nitrogen fixation.Nitrogen fixation depends on bacteria. Explanation;Nitrogen fixation is the process by which nitrogen is taken from its stable gas form (N2) in air and then converted into other nitrogen compounds (such as ammonia, nitrate and nitrogen dioxide) useful for other chemical processes.-The nitrogen fixing bacteria are microorganism capable of converting atmospheric nitrogen into forms usable by plants. They include the free-living bacteria, which includes cyanobacteria, azotobacter etc. and others such as mutualistic bacteria such as Rhizobium.

1. The movement of energy and nutrients through living systems are different. This is because energy flows in one direction and nutrients recycle. Nutrients recycle is the exchange and movement of inorganic and organic matter back to the production of matter. Energy flows in one direction because it is a non-cyclic and unidirectional pathway. Mineral nutrients which are cyclic include sulfur cycle, nitrogen cycle, water cycle, and the carbon cycle. 2. Conversion of dead organic matter to be fossil fuel depends on bacteria. Living organisms are being composed of organic compounds they excrete and secrete organic materials to their environment. Large molecules of organic matter can be formed from different polymerization of different parts which are already broken down to matter.

1. The correct answer is the first option: energy flows in one direction, adnd nutrients recycle. Think of a fly. When a fly is eaten by a frog, the energy from the fly goes into the frog. When the frog is eaten by a larger animal, then the energy from the frog goes into the larger animal. It's never the other way around (the energy from the larger animal doesn't go into the consumed frog, and the energy from the frog doesn't go into the consumed fly). However, the nutrients from these insects and animals are recycled, because the larger animal can use nutrients from both the frog and the fly. 2. The correct answer is nitrogen fixation. Nitrogen fixation is a chemical process in which nitrogen from the atmosphere is converted into organic compounds. This usually occurs with the help of certain microorganisms, which are bacteria. 3. The correct answer is the third option. Something is organic simply when carbon is covalently bonded to the atoms of other elements, a process which certain living organisms are able to do. 4. The correct answer is the third option. Biogeochemical cycling is a type of pathway that allows chemical substances to move through different spheres. This is why our actions on earth affect things like the atmosphere (for example the use of hairspray, and how it adds to the deterioration of the ozone layer).

1. Speed, since we know that , where s is speed, d is distance and t is time2. Velocity, for velocity you need to consider the direction and displacement gives the direction of travel.3. 25 mph, because 4. 50 mph east, velocity unlike speed has direction.5.Velocity, displacement gives the formula   direction.6. 0, the displacement is zero so velocity is zero7.  It decreases, speed is inversely proportional to time

Answer and Explanation: R-square measures whether the variation exists or how much dependence the independent variables on the dependent variables. R2 = .45 which is quite low. This shows that there is not much variation. In order to increase the R2 the researcher can add more independent variables. The below part is taken from the internet as the question was incomplete:Sunny days = 0.5 Intercept = 2.1The slope shows a positive relationship (direct relationship) with the dependent variable which is crime dependency. Sunny days is the independent variable. Intercept is also positive whereas there is significance in the p value which helps in concluding that we will reject the null hypothesis.
